General Description of the Services

This website provides information about Toyota's products, services, and company details. It is designed to offer a seamless user experience for all visitors, including those with disabilities. The website includes, without limitation, sections on vehicle models, retailer locations, customer support, and company news.

 

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The main components and templates used across our websites have undergone an external accessibility audit, including both automated and manual checks.

 

Accessibility Features 

The website is structured to ensure easy navigation and accessibility. Of the 16 WCAG criteria that the website meets, the most important features you should be able to access are:

  • WCAG Criterion "1.3.2 – Meaningful Sequence”: Does not use white space characters to control spacing within a word.       
  • WCAG Criterion " 2.1.1: Keyboard”: All functionality of the content is operable through a keyboard interface.
  • WCAG Criterion "3.1.1: Language of Page”: The default language of each page can be programmatically determined.
  • WCAG Criterion "3.2.1: On Focus”: When any user interface component receives focus, it does not initiate a change of context.
  • WCAG Criterion "3.2.2: On Input”: The setting of any user interface component does not automatically change unless the user has been advised before using the component.

 

Non-Accessible Content

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of our website, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to fix. Of the WCAG criteria that still need improvement, the most important limitations are:

  • WCAG Criterion “3.1.5: Reading Level”: Sentences longer than 25 words.
  • WCAG Criterion “4.1.2: Name, Role, Value”: Use of deprecated tags or attributes.  
  • WCAG Criterion “2.4.6: Headings and Labels”: Some instances of multiple headings with identical text.
  • WCAG Criterion “2.4.10: Section Headings”: Some instances of page headings and subheadings not being used hierarchically.
